Rose Quartz & Serenity – Pantone 2016 Wedding Inspiration
I couldn’t start the New Year without bringing you a beautifully romantic wedding inspiration feature and as I’m just head over heels in love with the Pantone 2016 colours, Rose Quartz and Serenity, these were the perfect choice. I mean, isn’t this just the most gorgeous wedding palette?
These colours are soothing and elegant and their ethereal, dreamy quality makes them absolutely ideal for a whimsical wedding day. You can totally choose how to use these colours in your day so, for example, you could use both as accent colours against a neutral palette or pick one as the lead colour with the other as a counterpoint. It’s up to you how you incorporate them in your day but, given how delightful these tones are, I think it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing a lot of them in weddings over the coming year.
And there are so many ways to bring the Pantone 2016 colours into your wedding day and bridesmaid dresses are the perfect starting point. Our range of gowns from Watters and Jenny Yoo are so fittingly feminine and they come in a range of colours that will match your scheme perfectly. I also love brides in coloured gowns but if you’d like to keep your wedding dress neutral, how about a bouquet featuring charming traditional blooms tied with trailing silk ribbons?
You could also add a flash of colour with your shoes and here, the world is your oyster! Designer or dye-to-order shoes might already be on your shopping list but I would certainly recommend the fabulously coloured shoes from Rachel Simpson – super soft leather, brilliant detailing and all-day comfort make them the first choice for many brides.
As I’ve been browsing wedding blogs and magazines over the pat year, I’ve noticed more and more couples include coloured linens in their wedding day and this is a great way to add colour to your reception tables. You can hire in cloths and napkins or why not add in coloured glasses or charger plates? These little additions certainly make your wedding day special.
Whilst we’re talking about receptions, pink or blue macarons, cocktails, hand-painted or coloured cakes and sweet treats would also be superb because we all like to indulge on special occasions don’t we?!
You could certainly give your lucky guests a little hint of what’s to come with your wedding invitations. I love soft, watercolour stationery that’s finished with graceful calligraphy and oh my goodness, if an invitation in this style featuring the Pantone 2016 colours fell through my letterbox, I’d be the first to RSVP…
If you’d like to make an appointment to visit us at Coco & Kate to view our wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and bridal accessories, just get in touch. We can’t wait to hear all about your plans and find out what colour scheme you’ll be using for your wedding day.
Love,
Sophie x
