Today’s feature is all about one of the questions I hear the most – what wedding dress style will be the most flattering for your body. 

As you might have seen from our recent blog post, we’ll soon be welcoming wedding dresses by British designer Stephanie Allin to Coco & Kate. We’re incredibly excited about our new label so thought we’d celebrate by taking a wider look at the classically elegant British wedding.

It might be something to do with the time of year but I feel in the mood to travel. And so do lots of the brides who visit Coco & Kate to choose their wedding dress because destination weddings and elopements seem to be really popular right now.

So, it’s 2016 and it’s a Leap Year so ladies, according to tradition, this is your moment to propose. Yes, if you’ve been dreaming of popping the question then mark 29th February in your diary and start planning your proposal. But, before we get to the moment of the big question, let’s just take indulge with a quick history lesson. 

February is most definitely the month of love and with Valentine’s Day in all our diaries this month, we thought we’d take a little look at how to fall in love… with your wedding gown! 

2016 has certainly started with a bang at Coco & Kate and it’s great to be back in the boutique with lots of excited brides to be to keep us company. If you’re reading our blog for the first time after a festive proposal, welcome! However, whether you’re a new reader or a long-time fan of Coco & Kate, you’ll want to have you diary to hand so you can snap up an appointment to one of our forthcoming trunk shows.

I couldn’t start the New Year without bringing you a beautifully romantic wedding inspiration feature and as I’m just head over heels in love with the Pantone 2016 colours, Rose Quartz and Serenity, these were the perfect choice. I mean, isn’t this just the most gorgeous wedding palette?

As we head happily towards the New Year, I really couldn’t resist the opportunity to take a look forward at the wedding trends I think we’ll be seeing a lot of in 2016. I have to say that I could have written so much here that you might well still have been reading come 2017 so I’ve restricted myself to just five top trends!

So, I’m just about to turn of the lights and close Coco & Kate for the Christmas holidays but, before I do, I wanted to send you Christmas wishes for a festive season full of joy and happiness. 2015 has been a phenomenal year here at Coco & Kate and I wanted to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to absolutely everyone that’s been part of it. 

It’s certainly the time of year for indulgence and whether it’s a sneaky mince pie in the afternoon or a few ‘essential’ items for yourself that happen to come home with you from Christmas shopping trips, we all adore a festive treat. So, in today’s feature I’m absolutely embracing Christmas decadence and running through my pick of gifts that should make it onto every bride’s Christmas wish-list this year.

Hello again and welcome to a winter wedding inspiration feature that should certainly make you smile, whatever the weather is doing outside right now. Like the very best Christmas presents, this winter wedding theme is a little bit unexpected because today, we’re indulging in a little bit of contemporary chic with an ice and white and cool grey palette that certain turns up the heat in the wedding style stakes! 

There’s so much to love at this time of year – evenings by the fire, long walks through drifts of leaves and, if you’re a fan of all things bridal there’s New York Bridal Fashion week to look forward to. All our favourite designers congregate in the Big Apple with their latest collections and oh my goodness, the wedding dresses that made their way down the catwalks were simply stunning. 

September is always the start of the new school year and however old we get, we can’t forget that ‘back to school’ feeling. No more lovely long summer days, no more late weekday nights and lazy mornings and a lot more work! It’s certainly a relief not to have to do that anymore! 

More and more of us are choosing to holiday here in the UK and let’s be honest, it’s a beautiful place to be.
